During long, cold winters, dogs and their owners may need a little more exercise. This record shows you some fun ways you can play with your dog indoors.

Some of you may have been told never to play tug of war with a dog. The fear is that it might make a dog aggressive or aggravate any possessive tendencies. Other trainers feel that there is nothing wrong with the game, as long as you result unavoidable rules:

Dog

1)The toy you select must be long enough to avoid accidental injury. A thick rope with knots in the middle is good.

2)Play tug toys only with a specified toy. Teach your dog a command such as “drop it” or “leave it” before you start playing. (It’s a good idea to do this even if you never intend to play tug. That way if he wants to play with your shoe, you can plainly ask him to drop it.) Never try to pull whatever away from the dog, use your command instead.

3)You must be in control of the game. You resolve when to play. Keep the toy out of sight in in the middle of games. You should win at least most of the time. When you resolve you’ve had enough, plainly say “that’s enough” and ask the dog to “drop it.” always stop immediately if the dog gets too excited or puts his mouth on your hand.

Another game you can play is hide and seek. There are two ways to play this game; either you can hide and encourage your dog to find you, or you can hide toys or treats around the house and ask the dog to find them.

If you are to be the target, plainly have the dog stay while you go into an additional one room. At first don’t go far, and hide in an easy spot. Then call the dog with “Come find me!” or something like that.

Continue to call as long as you need to. Bonus the dog for looking you with treats, excited praise, belly rubs ‘ whatever he loves. Once your dog gets the idea, you can hide in more difficult spots, and call less often.

To use treats or toys as the objects to find, start by hiding a treat under or behind something while your dog watches, then exclaim, “Find it!” in an excited voice. Once he gets the rules of the game, have the dog stay in one room while you hide treats in another.

If your dog likes to use his nose, try hiding the treats inside shoes, under rugs, in the middle of couch cushions and places like that. For other dogs you may want to put most of the treats in plain view.

Break up large treats so that you are not giving him too many. Toys can be used if your dog has a strong prey drive, or if the he is overweight.

You can also try some brain teasers with your dog. For one, find three boxes of the same size. Have the dog sit and stay, facing the boxes. Place a treat inside or underneath an overturned box.

Release the dog and allow him to find the box the treat is in. eventually you can begin hiding the treat with the dog facing away from the boxes.

Here’s an additional one puzzle the dog can work on. Place a morsel of food on a flat plate. Cover the plate with a towel or inverted foil pie tin. If using the tin, make a small lip in it so the dog can smell the food. If the dog is good at working things out, he should soon at least try to get the towel or pie tin off of the plate to get to the food.

You can growth the mystery by placing the plate under a chair or other obstacle. Give him a way to get it out, such as placing it on a towel or attaching a rope to the plate. Don’t let the dog get too frustrated with these games ‘ if he’s not quite up to it, help him along and let him have the treat anyway.

There are toys that you can buy that will keep the dog busy on his own. A amount of toys are now made to dispense treats. These are balls or cubes in which you place small treats. When the toy is jostled or turned over, out come the treats. The dog’s supper can even be fed from these toys so that she isn’t overeating.

Other interactive toys available are puzzle toys. These are similar to those made for toddlers. Instead of putting the toy back together however, the dog takes it apart – something many dogs plainly love to do. Most of these are plush toys, and might not be favorable for some aggressive chewers.

These are just a few suggestions, use your imagination and your dog’s abilities to come up with even more games you can play indoors.

People wear clothes for many reasons. We wear them for modesty – it’s illegal in most places to go nearby without any clothing. We wear clothes to protect us from the weather. Raincoats and hats make us much more comfortable in the rain while fleece lined coats and boots are greatly appreciated in cold weather, and when there is snow on the ground. We also wear clothes to make ourselves feel and look good, to impress other people with our excellent taste, and to show that we have the money for expensive designer clothes.

Dogs wear clothes for one presume only – their owners want them to wear the clothes. Dog owners put clothes on their dogs for most of the same reasons they put clothes on themselves and their children. In fact many dog owners regard their dogs as their children and they buy them clothes and dress them up to show how much they care for them. The exception to this, of course, is modesty. Dogs don’t require clothing for that purpose and, in fact for sure reasons, dog clothes rarely cover that singular area.

Dog

Protective clothing for small and toy dogs such as Boston Terriers, Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Maltese, Pugs and any of the puny or teacup dog breeds is a good idea. These dogs commonly feel the cold much more than larger dogs – that’s why they do not enjoy going covering for walks with their owners in rainy, snowy or cold weather. They even resist going covering to the bathroom in inclement weather which makes it very difficult to house train toy dog breeds in cold or wet weather.

Raincoats and hats made of vinyl or waterproof nylon are ready for wet weather, as are rain boots. These boots are normally fastened with Velcro and/or zippers. Fleece lined, shearling and wool coats are ready to keep your dog warm in cold weather. Boots are useful to protect your dog’s paws from the effects of ice and salt. For hot summer days, sensitive paws should wear sandals to protect them from hot asphalt or sand. You can also buy sunglasses for your dog but possibly you could discuss this with your veterinarian to see if they contribute any benefit to your dog’s eyes. Protective clothing is also useful to short-haired and older dogs of all sizes as well as the small dog breeds. Even some of the larger short-haired dog breeds like the Bulldog, Boxer and Greyhound appreciate security in the cold weather. Owners of most large dog breeds are probably not as curious in dog clothes but might consider obtaining reflective vests for their dogs. These vests make the dogs easier to see when walking at night and also make the dog easier to find if you are camping and hunting – especially good for black or dark-colored dogs.

Reflective vests have a practical purpose. So do some much more frivolous-looking clothes. Toy dogs and even some small dogs should wear harnesses rather than collars for reasons of condition – they can undoubtedly injure their trachea with a collar. Some very sensible people have designed coats and other outfits with a ‘D’ ring on them which make extremely inviting harnesses for small dogs. Practical, attractive, and sometimes quite lavish clothes are ready for toy and small dogs. Pajamas, bathrobes, dresses, sweaters, formal outfits for weddings, and costumes (you can dress your dog as a lamb, a lion, a vampire or even buy him an Elvis jumpsuit) can be found in stores and at discount prices on the Internet. Creative entrepreneurs advertise on-line that they will custom institute and make outfits for your dog. Of course, if you like to sew, you can buy sewing patterns to make a blanket, cushion, dog coat, dog coat, leg warmers and boots for your dog and a matching scarf and hat for you to wear.

Dog clothes come in an marvelous range of styles and prices. We hope you have fun choosing the right clothes for your dog.

Dog

After you have read this record I am sure you will have a best understanding on how to train your dog.

It is foremost for your dog to have a exact living area. This can be set up in a relative small place. Spend some time setting up his inexpressive area, so that he gets a good place to live. Also spend some ability time with your dog in his own living area. This makes him feel more comfortable. He should be free to eat and sleep in his area. Do not disturb him if he sleeps or that you see that he wants to be alone. If you have kids it is good to tell them that playing with him is not allowed when he is sleeping in his inexpressive area.

You should always be the alpha in your dog’s eyes. That means he always should listen to your commands. This can be hard for some new dog owners. It is very foremost that you show him who is the boss. If you let him think that he is the one that decides, you could have some problems when he gets older. The most effective way to show who is the boss is always to accompany a scruff with a sharp “no”. Never scream and yell but always talk firmly with a lower tone.

Finally, we are going to talk about rewards. I do not like to punish my dog if he is doing something wrong, but I like to recompense him when he does something good.
The advent of a new baby is a time for joy in the household and many changes as well.

It’s foremost for your pet to learn to adjust and accept the baby as a house member. Sounds, smells, new noises are new experiences for your pet. Here are some tips to make the transition easier for all.

Dog

Before the baby’s arrival, play Cds or videos of babies and the sounds they make. Request habitancy with their babies to your home. Allow your pet to witness the baby’s room and any items you’ve changed at home. Determine what is standard behavior and begin training your pet to behave in the manner you wish. If you’ve allowed your dog to jump up on people, now is the time to convert this behavior as you wouldn’t want him jumping on the baby.

Set up a special place for your pet with a food dish, water bowl, bed, toys and a litter box for a cat. This will allow your pet to have a quiet, relaxing area all its own.

Before bringing baby home from the hospital, take an item that has your baby’s smell on it and let your pet sniff it while giving your pet treats. In that way you’re training your pet to have distinct feelings associated with baby.

Your program will convert so try to set up the new routine.

Allow a special time for just you and your pet and continue this routine after the baby’s arrival, with and without the baby in the room. Both you and your pet will appreciate these special times.

Introduce the baby to your pet, all the while gift a treat.

Try to involve your pet in activities with the baby. You can walk your baby in the carriage or stroller and your dog on the leash. Allow your cat and/or dog to sit nearby when keeping the baby.

Your pet should be able to connect distinct feelings and sounds with the baby, so keep treats nearby and speak in a pleasant voice. Of course, watch those calories with the treats.

Most pets will accept the new baby for real into the house and often view the baby as one who it must safe and love.

There are many kinds of memorials that you can get to honor the memory of your pet. As thus, it will not be that difficult for you to find the right item that is most suitable, depending on your pet’s personality and how you pick to remember your furry companion.

One of the problems with having an outdoor dog kennel is the ground you will be putting the kennel on. Some people just sit the kennel up over a fairly level grassy area and forget about it. Other folks sit the kennel on a concrete pad.

Either of this approaches will work, but there are some drawbacks to both.

Dog

With the constant traffic of the dog engaging in the kennel located on grass, that grass area will fast turn to mud or bare soil. This makes it difficult to clean the kennel area properly to preclude illnesses from fleas, ticks and parasites that burrow into the soil. Concrete is great for being able to clean and disinfect the kennel area, but concrete is very hard on the pads of the dog’s paws and for an older dog, it is very hard on their leg joints.

One way to solve this problem is by using plastic kennel flooring panels. If using over grass, I propose the grass be cut as short as inherent before laying the panels into place. If the ground is not wholly level, you can put down sand or gravel to level out the bumps and then lay the panels in place.

For use on concrete, the kennel flooring panels act as an insulator from the concrete outside climatic characteristic and the softer outside of the plastic kennel flooring is much easier on the dog’s joints. Most kennel flooring is now made using Hdpe which is Uv unyielding and very easy to clean using a clarification of bleach and water. Be sure to rinse the area wholly after disinfecting as your dog could receive chemical burns on their paws if stepping on bleach.

How Safe Is Your Home While You Are on Vacation?

Your trip is planned, you have chosen your destination, your luggage is packed, you are getting ready to depart. You have taken every precaution to ensure that you have a safe enjoyable trip. Do you think you have forgotten anything? Have you overlooked anything? Have you taken every precaution to ensure your home is secured while you are traveling?

Dog

I have listed a few safety tips that my husband and I do to ensure that our home is safe while we are away enjoying ourselves. A few of these safety tips are pretty proper and utilized by most travelers. Some of them are for our own personal needs. Every tourist will have distinct ways of securing their home and have their own safety tips depending on their personal circumstances.

Common safety Tips

We have our newspaper delivery stopped for the length of time we are away.
We tell our neighbor that we will be away and for how long. We give them all our caress data for our destination.
We have our neighbor pick up our mail every day. You can have it held at the post office but we have found that sometimes they do not do it right away which means there is mail sitting in your mailbox and you do not even know it.
If it is inherent in your place of residence you can also get your local police to do a few house checks for you while you are gone. (This may not be inherent in all residential areas) definitely something to look into in your area.
Ask a neighbor or a house member to shovel the snow or cut the grass, depending on time of year that you are traveling. An unkept yard may indicate that no one is home to a professional thief.
For garbage pickup, you can ask your neighbor to put out a bag of their garbage in front of your home for pickup.
Make sure to check all windows and doors are locked.
If you own two vehicles, find out if you can get a house member, friend or neighbor to move your car nearby while you are away. (Our neighbor puts our car in the stable at night and brings it back out in the day)

Our Own safety Tip

I know this sounds crazy but our dog cannot be put into a kennel, she hates being put into a cage. So we leave her at home. She has her own doggie door to get in and out. She also makes a good watch dog, mind you her bark is worse than her bite. Our neighbor, who is given a key to our house will feed our dog every day and undoubtedly stay and watch television with our dog. Passersby think that we are undoubtedly home. Our dog does not range from home, so this undoubtedly works for us.

These are the safety tips that we follow. We have a great neighbor that has the time to help us implement these safety tips. In return, when they go away we do the same thing. It is a win win situation. This type of co-operation from a undoubtedly good neighbor, friend or house member saves money because you do not have to pay someone to do it for you and you have piece of mind knowing your home is gain while you are away.

Indie Movies are basically dissimilar from a common blockbuster movie, such as The Dark Knight or Transformers from various aspects as it is produced in much more smaller scale in terms of money, production and casting.

From the start, Indie Movies are commonly independent film projects and it is usually shoot and produced with a small funds that can fluctuating from few thousands to an average of ,000 as compared to big blockbuster movies that cost about few millions to be produce.

In terms of production, the cameras used in the shooting also vary from 16mm film camera to digital handy cam or using a mobile phone that technology that allows the user to shoot short film such as Nokia N95. These are affordable for consumers and with popular software such as iMovie, Adobe Premier Pro and Final Cut Pro which are made ready for industrial and buyer level, film editing are much easier and economy to indie-inspired directors or producers.

In dog training, it’s foremost to identify that dogs are pack animals and that all packs have power hierarchies. When two dogs are interacting, there is a constant communication of power and control. If a dog challenges other dog and wins, he gains power in the pack.

The alpha male. The dog with the most power is called the alpha male. Also the obvious benefits of being a leader – and this is true with all mammals – the alpha male also has the largest pick of females.

Dog

Have you ever noticed how if you act in an insight and caring way with a girl, the most you two will end up with is you listening to her complaining about her jerk boyfriends? Have you noticed how some of the Dumbest, Crudest guys often have the most success with women?

Going behind the scenes. I saw that happening all the time, and I asked myself, “what the hell is going on here?” Well, I’ve now figured it out – women do not seek intelligence, love and caring from their partner. What they want is a man who is in Control.

Okay, I do not actually mean that women do not seek brain and caring etc. What I mean is that those things are waay secondary. A woman will go with a grand guy who is lacking in the “sensitivity” department, but she will not be as ready to go with a sensitive guy who is lacking in control and power.

A balancing act. Now, some guys take this thing too far and simplify it – they take it to mean that the man who is the most physically dominant gets all the chicks. You’ve seen those bodybuilder types – it is so obvious what their motivations are for getting big. And women can see it too.

True alpha male behaviour is displayed using your communication skills, not using your muscles. If you study a group of guys, then regularly the one that is the loudest and most physical also has the least estimate of group control. It’s the quiet, calm and collected guy that you need to be aware of.

What the essence of this is. Human masculinity is most of all about having control over your reality, always staying calm and collected, and knowing how to do deal with group situations gracefully. These are the skills you should be construction if you want to attract women naturally, without much work from your side.

Alpha Male Behaviour – I’ll Show You What It’s verily About

When inspecting getting a new pet, maybe for the family, yourself, or a friend, you need to decide what kind of pet you would like. Dissimilar pets will have Dissimilar needs, for example a dog will need space, a dog bed or dog crate will take up space in your home, yet it could be a necessity for them.

Smaller pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs can be kept outside, so that may suit you better. If you have a bigger house will a lot of space and time on your hands, a dog could be the one for you, or a cat if you do not have time for walks and undivided attention.

Dog

Money is an leading factor when inspecting a pet, all pets will cost money whether it be food, toys or vet bills, or insurance- you never know when your pet will get ill or need an operation. So be ready for anything to happen, and to be able to fork out for it.

If you have decided on one kind of pet, say a cat, speak to person who has one and ask them how much they spend on it monthly in order to set it aside out of your budget, and ask how they are to look after. If you want a small pet, go and handle one first, some people like the idea of a rabbit but can’t be bothered to clean out its cage or handle it daily. All these factors need addressing and thinking about before committing to a pet. Remember a pet is for their whole lives and you will be responsible for it till it dies.
